The Chi Phi Club of Greater Atlanta's monthly luncheon takes place every third thursday at The Buckhead Club.

Please join us in welcoming our returning guest speaker, Mr. G. Bliss Jones, on Thursday, March 18th at the Buckhead Club.
G. Bliss Jones is a shareholder with Jones and Kolb in Atlanta and has been in public accounting since 1976. His experience includes nine years with an international firm and a year as the Chief Financial Officer of a public company before joining Jones and Kolb in 1986. His practice is directed primarily towards nonprofit organizations, privately held businesses, and individuals. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Industrial Management from the Georgia Institute of Technology and a Masters of Accountancy degree from the University of Georgia. Bliss is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA), the Georgia Society of Certified Public Accountants (GSCPA), the American Society of Association Executives, and the Georgia Center for Nonprofits.
Bliss has served as a member of the AICPA Not-for-Profit Organizations Audit and Accounting Guide Task Force, and the AICPA National Annual Nonprofit Conference Planning Committee. In addition, he served on AICPA Nonprofit Task Forces formed to develop language to report control deficiencies related to compliance with Federal awards, respond to the IRS regarding proposed revisions to Form 990 tax returns, provide guidance for testing internal controls and compliance in a Single Audit environment, and for 403(b) Plan audits.
Bliss has presented at numerous national, regional, state and local nonprofit conferences and teaches various nonprofit continuing professional education courses. He is a frequent speaker and is the coordinator for the Tax Exempt Association (TEA) Group, a monthly round-table discussion group focusing on accounting, tax, and administrative issues faced by nonprofit organizations.
